Chief Information OfficerNorth Country HealthCareScott Carey, Chief Information Officer Scott Carey is the Chief Information Officer for North Country HealthCare. Carey has decades of experience across multiple federal agencies and initiatives, including the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer. His career in federal information technology began at the U.S. Department of Defense as a U.S. Navy civilian software engineer working on the Tomahawk missile system.
As Program Manager, he then led a variety of complex technical programs to protect the military and civilians against Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) hazards. While at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), he led the development and global delivery of the Next Generation Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) and the implementation of the first electronic evidence management system for the FBI Laboratory. He also has managed a large portfolio of mission-oriented IT programs and has served as the FBI executive for Technology and Strategy within the FBI’s Office of Chief Information Officer, leading initiatives involving Innovation, Enterprise Architecture, Supply Chain Risk Management, Prototyping, Cloud Adoption, Network IT modernization, and Technology Assessments. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science, a M.S. in Systems Engineering, and has professional certifications in Program Management and IT Service Management. |
