Transformational Public Health Leader | Strategic Grant Executive | Advocate for Indigenous Wellness Brandie Franco brings over 15 years of experience in public health leadership, team development, and community-centered wellness strategy to her role as an Advisory Board Member for the Transformative Leadership Program at Arizona Christian University. She currently serves as the Health Promotion Program Manager for Native Americans for Community Action, Inc. (NACA), where she leads high-impact health equity initiatives and strategic grant development rooted in cultural relevance and leadership. A mission-driven change agent, Brandie has successfully directed the acquisition and stewardship of over $1.7 million in federal health grants, including those from the CDC, Indian Health Service, and Special Diabetes Program for Indians. Her leadership influences not only fiscal excellence—managing a nearly $900,000 annual operating budget—but also community empowerment, through culturally competent wellness programs serving Native populations. Her approach to leadership integrates business acumen and relational influence. With a track record of managing diverse teams, conducting national training, and building coalitions across tribal, federal, and community sectors, she exemplifies the core tenets of transformational leadership: vision, integrity, and empowerment. Her earlier career includes nearly a decade of national wellness coaching and health education with WebMD and StayWell, where she coached over 2,500 clients annually and led internal training on negotiation, behavior change, and motivational interviewing. Brandie Franco holds an MBA in Management from Amberton University and a B.S. in Community Health Education from the University of New Mexico. Her commitment to lifelong learning and makes her a valuable contributor to Arizona Christian University’s mission to shape Christ-centered, transformational leaders. |
